As somebody that’s actually had the pleasure of meeting and briefly speaking with The Woz – I have a fairly dim view of Mr. Jobs – but I do acknowledge that the world needs business people with zero moral fibre to exploit and monetize the greatest technical minds of our society. Some people can build an empire – some people can’t manage a hot dog cart, in the Bronx, on Good Friday. Ok, so that went sour in a hurry. Anyway…moving on.
There’s so much to talk about. Lately I’ve been spending most of my energy working on software and metalcrafting – with a little electronics and stone work on the side. I’ve been busy. Work has been a madhouse. We’re recovering from a sever flood that required a partial gutting of our office and lab space – and we have more orders than we can fulfill. Life is good – if not a bit busier than I like.
My wife stays in her mancave toiling in obscurity on algorithms and methods yet unborn. Maybe someday I’ll wise up and monetize her mind. Even if the game she’s writing now fails miserably – it’ll still rake in the better part of half a million dollars. This is good because my house is old. The roof leaks, the floors squeak, there are horrible drafts (Thank you Squidward).
Our plaything is working out well. I’m still loving every second of it. The sex is great, she keeps the house clean, and somehow is able to calm me down when I get all wound up and overstimmed. She does this thing where she gently rubs the bridge of my nose with one finger and it instantly undwinds me…it’s like xenon poisoning a fission pile, or ethernet – it works better than it should.
I’m finally back in my real office at work, not the garage bay, or an old subterranean xylene storage tank turned into a temporary lab space. Things are looking up.
