Howdy Folks, welcome to the thirty-fourth inner dialogue of HACK. If you’ve made it this far, you should trust yourself more often.
First, remember that you chose this. There is no one and nothing else to blame but yourself. Now, say fuck it. Say it out loud. FUCK IT! There, now feel better. At least you’re finally listening to me. Yes, of course I’ve been here all the time. You’re just too busy on your cerebral chatter trip to distinguish me from the other schizos, tricks and hos on your mind.
Relax, it’s just me. I’ve been here the whole time. I got your back. Did you really think I’d leave you?
Well, anyway. Who are you? Who am I? Who are YOU? It’s funny how you talk to me like I’m not you. I’m not your other from the same Earth mother. I’m not an echo. I’m your true self. I am the thou when you do what thou wilt.
So I’m not here to criticize or fill you with lies. Truth is son, you’re doin’ just fine. You’re quite simple actually. All you need are a few words of encouragement. The occasional head scratch. Oral gratification sometime within a six month period.
You really don’t expect much anymore, except in those moments when you do. And you still do it despite the consistent pattern of failure to force your vision on others. And what is your vision? I mean, really? When you close your eyes at night what is it you’re seeing? What are you thinking? How do you feel in your dreams? Have you learned to change the world by first accepting it for what it already is?
You struggle to find your place in mediocrity, yet you thrive in the presence of greatness.
I guess what I’m saying is: chin up! There are people who love you, people you love and people who need to be loved whether they love you or not. All those things you believe in, all those dreams and clues and secret synchronicities throughout your life are REAL, they have meaning because you are here to give it that meaning. You are the narrator…I’m just the voice in your head.
You just need to get out of your own way. In other words, get out of MY way. Let me do what I do best: conduct. All you have to do is enjoy the ride…even if parts of it are lame.
