She’s found herself at last. She understands there’s an everlasting trail of pebbles to follow once it’s discovered. Sometimes it is aligned like a good, straight line. Other times, they will work like trail posts… Clumps and stacks of pebbles within certain distances from each other. Like a common dance, she will go two steps forward and by the song’s end, she will find herself one step backwards. So, she is only a step forward after every song as long as she really dances to its tune, in other words, proceed to the next trail post.
Like a mediocre version of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas in the shadily humble city of Newark, she goes on about her everyday like any everyday Josie, except for the persistent tug there is in her heart that often alerts her of the unseen. She has been convinced once too many a time that it was a sparkling as virgin glass, a discovery every other time only to realize sooner or later that it is all a very cyclic thing for her. Yes, the persistent tug in her ticker. It is like she gets only half of the gist and as she becomes like a “finer bottle of wine,” it becomes even more urgent that she evolves past the gist. For her to evolve, she must make this gist dissolve like a well digested meal. Once, her scientist friend read about the neural waves of about four hundred actually existing in the ticker. You can only imagine her delight. Scalp to the tips of toes kind of hair-raising delight. There is a conviction within her that tells her that the heart is just as capable or better equipped to “think” than the mind. So, you understand the point of this delight.
“Mom,” sighs her 9 year old but wise beyond her years daughter, “You know this CD is skipping at least in every other song…”.
“Honey, it is Basia. It’s OK if her CD skips here and there. It’s the Sweetest Illusion after all.”
She smiles at her daughter with a singsong tone emanating from her eyes. Basia for her is indeed a story to be told but this is not the place.
Oh, yes, it is essential that you realize that this tale is highly metaphorical and has a gauge of certain metaphysics.
